In addition to my editorial services for higher ed institutions and membership-based associations, in 2025, I launched a new service as a work-for-hire writer for educational publisher and the educational market. Contact me for my résumé and writing samples.
I’m particularly interested in nonfiction projects related to history and biography (I have a bachelor’s degree in history and listen to history podcasts incessantly), but I also love music, travel, and world cultures.
My freelance services have given me experience writing feature articles, blog posts, and profile pieces as well as copy-editing and proofreading books and magazines for clients. A few industries I’ve worked in include stenography, transportation, and medicine. I have a track record of providing my clients with quality work and meeting my deadlines. I also have an MFA in creative writing, concentrating on fiction, and I’ve published poetry for adults in literary journals since 2012.
In June 2024, I took the “Writing for the Educational Market” workshop with Jan Fields and Paula Morrow at the Highlights Foundation. While not a teacher by trade, I have several years of volunteer teaching experience with early elementary and middle school children. I’m also a parent of three children, including two currently in elementary school.
